Kya Censor Board Ne GULZAR Ki Film LIBAAS Ko Aaj Tak Nahi Hone Diya Release?

In this video FILMY GUFTGU brings to you a story about a controversial film, which was made by Gulzar, but it never got released. The film's name is LIBAAS, which was supposed to be released in 1988, but it has not been released even 32 years later. The main cast of Libaas includes Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi and Raj Babbar. While it has been said earlier that the movie was not released because the Censor Board did not pass the movie because of its bold theme of out of marriage relationship and adultery, but that is not the true reason. The reason because of which LIBAAS was not released was the riff between film's producer Vikas Mohan and film's director Gulzar as both wanted a different ending and Gulzar did not relent. The film had two screenings so far in the past in 1992 and 2014 at International Film Festival of India.
