re-loading SOMA does not save you from death

I quit the game when I was about to die. Loaded in the next day right where I left him! The pause is me accepting my fate lol. SOMA is the first survival horror I've played and it is so creepily good without relying on jumpscares. Wish I'd saved the moment I realised this guy could open doors.
