Why Do People Like Death Metal?

In this video, I give my take on why people might like death metal, despite its negative reputation in pop culture. NOTE: I realize that I’ve used death metal, melodic death metal, and technical death metal interchangeably in my examples. For what it’s worth, I have made sure to only discuss elements which are relevant to pure death metal. They have enough similarities that pop culture typically won’t bother to differentiate them anyways. I understand that it’s still technically incorrect to do this, and I sincerely apologize to those who are upset by it.
