Blackcaps fast bowler Neil Wagner became the last of the New Zealand based players to get a jab ahead of their tour to England next month. Wagner, who has been training with the rest of the squad at Tauranga, got his first jab of the vaccine on Tuesday. Sixteen of the twenty member Blackcaps touring squad have been vaccinated with Wagner being the final one. Four players - Kane Williamson, Trent Boult, Kyle Jamieson and Mitchell Santner - are currently away in India for the IPL and have not been been vaccinated. New Zealand cricket players are among the small group of athletes who have been approved for an early vaccine through the Government's "reason of national significance" criteria. The Blackcaps will leave for England in mid-May to prepare for their two-Test tour against the home side as well as to compete in the final of the ICC's World Test Championship against India at the Ageas Bowl, in Hampshire, England.
