First is an HLN Headline News "News Watch" update, with stories about the latest launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery, and the latest toxic leak by Union Carbide in West Virginia (the third that month). In sports, the U.S. Open began, with John McEnroe the favorite in men's. A 1985 copyright is seen, then it's back to the Morning Movie. The baseball game that night (Tuesday) was Braves vs. Pirates, and "Charlotte's Web" was being shown on Friday. A "will return" bump with tease is followed by a promo for the station's line-up of original sit-coms, "Down to Earth," "Safe at Home," and "Rocky Road."
