Air-fryer almond croissant toast

Makes 2 toasts Prep – 5 mins Cook – 10 mins Ingredients 50g soft butter 50g caster sugar 1 egg 70g ground almonds A few drops almond or vanilla extract 2 pieces stale bread A small handful of flaked almonds Icing sugar, to dust Method 1. Beat the butter and sugar in a bowl, then add the egg, followed by the ground almonds and extract. Spoon over two pieces of stale bread, scatter over the flaked almonds and transfer to an air-fryer on a piece of baking paper. 2. Cook at 180C for 10 mins until golden and crisp-topped and the frangipane has set. Serve dusted with icing sugar and a few seasonal berries.
