Gently placing her hand on his casket (pictured main and top right), astronaut John Glenn's wife of 73 years said a final goodbye to her American hero husband as he lies in state at Ohio's capitol building. Annie Glenn (top right inset with her husband) joined mourners at a public viewing (bottom right) - scheduled to stretch at least eight hours starting at noon Friday - for the first American to orbit Earth (top left inset) at the state capitol in Columbus. The 95-year-old Glenn died last Thursday surrounded by family and friends at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, over a week after he was first hospitalized for an unknown illness.
