Check out part 36 of my Xclusive Playthrough series featuring the game Spyro Reignited Trilogy! This game released on the Xbox One and Xbox Series families of consoles on November 12th, 2018. It was developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision. In this video, Spyro visits Magma Cone & helps the Fauns with saving their doomed party from the dangerous Earthshapers. Spyro Reignited Trilogy is an action adventure platformer that includes all three (3) of the games from the original Spyro trilogy that was developed by Insomniac Games for the PlayStation platform: Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Each of these games is a 3D action adventure platformer that revolves around a young purple dragon named Spyro and each game has a unique plot/storyline attached to it. Spyro the Dragon kicks everything off with a TV interview where a pair of dragons from the Artisan realm anger the game's primary villain (Gnasty Gnorc - half gnome & half orc) who turns all dragons within the kingdom into Jade statues, a spell that Spyro will have to reverse. Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! picks things up where the original left off and sees Spyro attempt to take a much deserved vacation to Dragon Shores. Upon entering the portal, Spyro actually ends up in Glimmer (one of the many realms of the fantasy land of Avalar) & is asked to put a stop to a dangerous warlock named Ripto. Finally, Spyro: Year of the Dragon revolves around an evil sorceress that steals rare dragon eggs during a celebration known as the "Year of the Dragon" which Spyro must retrieve. The gameplay in this game leans very heavily on the platforming elements such as jumping and gliding while also including very minor elements of puzzle solving. The player assumes the role of the purple dragon named Spyro as he travels throughout the various realms and worlds in an attempt to bring peace to the lands that are inhabited by dragons. The controls are fairly simple to pick up and learn as Spyro doesn't have too many actions that he can do, however, they do become a little expanded with each subsequent game within the trilogy. Spyro can move around using the Left Stick, the camera is controlled with the Right Stick, first-person view can be accessed using the Y button, Spyro can jump using the A button (and glide with the press of the A button while Spyro is already in the air while pressing Y during a glide will make Spyro hover for a bit which provides him with a short vertical boost that also stops his glide completely), Spyro can breathe fire with the B button and he can use Charge Attach using the X button. As I mentioned earlier, the subsequent games introduce other mechanics such as swimming, climbing and a head bash that can be purchased from a vendor for Gems. Finally, with regards to the achievements in this game: Spyro Reignited Trilogy includes a total of 105 achievements for a total of 1000 GS. Unfortunately, most of the achievements in each of these games are not story-related which means that you'll have to complete miscellaneous actions within each level to obtain the majority of them. That being said, most of the achievements are quite fun to obtain while also being fairly creative. The good thing is that none of them are missable since any of the levels can be replayed which means you're more than welcome to progress through the game at your own pace and can then return at any point to mop any achievements you may not have yet obtained. That being said, this is a fairly long completion that will take you anywhere from 25 to 30 hours.
