Warm, humid with scattered showers possible

Friday Night: Watch for spotty showers with a few pockets of heavy rain. Rain coverage will not be widespread. Patchy fog is expected to develop overnight in a few spots. This Weekend: Neither Saturday or Sunday will be a washout, but have an umbrella handy if you'll be out and about either afternoon. Spotty showers will move in after lunchtime tomorrow with more numerous showers and storms to wrap up the weekend. Both afternoons will feature highs in the mid-80s. It'll be muggy, but since we're still well below average, the overall trend won't be bad. With lots of moisture around, expect pockets of heavy rain at times. It'll be a good weekend to download the WCNC Charlotte mobile app if any inclement weather moves your way. Between Charlotte Pride, Charlotte Knights, and Charlotte FC - it'll be a busy weekend of outdoor activities in the Queen City. More storms will roll in Sunday night and into the start of a new week.
