How to Import SVG to Sketch in FreeCAD | Simple Tutorial

Learn how to import an SVG file into a sketch in FreeCAD. Convert SVG paths into editable sketch geometry easily. To import an SVG file into a sketch in FreeCAD, first open FreeCAD and switch to the Draft Workbench. Go to File and Import and select your SVG file. The SVG will be imported as Draft objects (lines and curves) on a plane. Next, select the imported SVG objects, then switch to the Sketcher Workbench. Use Sketch then Sketcher tools and Create sketch from selected geometry (or Draft and then Draft to Sketch) to convert the SVG geometry into an editable sketch. Once converted, you can fully constrain and modify the sketch for use in Part Design or other workbenches.
