Hurricane Rita 18-25 Sep 2005 GOES-12 1080p vis 10fps

This is a time-lapse sequence 10fps (at 2km resolution) of Hurricane Rita forming over the Bahamas, moving west past Florida into the Gulf of Mexico, then turning north into the southern states of the USA during 18-25 Sept 2005. The raw images (4800x4000pixels) are from the geostationary weather satellite GOES-12, sitting 35,786km above the equator in Ecuador, South America. The time sequence images (red visible channel/gray scale) were obtained in 2005 from data products at NOAA.
