James Gordon is a supporting character in both Batman: The Telltale Series and it's sequel The Enemy Within. One of the few incorrupt cops in Gotham, he was a reluctant ally to the vigilante Batman and was the main contact for him on the force. During the Children of Arkham's attack on the city, he worked with the vigilante to stop them, eventually forming a partnership between the vigilante and the GCPD and being given the rank of Commissioner. A year later, the two worked together to stop the Pact, despite problems caused by Amanda Waller. Prior to becoming a GCPD officer, Gordon was a member of the United States Marine Corps. After receiving an honorable discharge, he joined the GCPD as an officer, at least nineteen years before Batman operated in Gotham. At some point before the events of the game, he fathered a daughter with an unnamed wife, whom they named Barbara. He was also promoted to lieutenant and placed in charge of the Special Crimes Unit by Commissioner Peter Grogan, to deal with increased criminal activity. At some point, Gordon aligned himself with the vigilante Batman, although he distrusted the vigilante and his methods.
