GREENFIELD -- A 27-year-old Greenfield man pleaded guilty to murdering his mother last October. According to Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy, Joshua McWain got into an argument with 59-year-old Carol Stanford at their home and hit her with a floor buffer. McWain then tried to hide his mothers body by burying her in a root cellar under a work shed. He pleaded guilty to second degree murder. He will be sentenced on September 27th. According to the District Attorney's Office, McWain is expected to get 19 years to life at his sentencing.
