Video credit: DPR People's Militia Russian Army in Ukraine | DPR People's Militia releases footage of Russian Armed tanks in Maryinka The DPR People's Militia released footage on Monday of Russian Armed Forces tank crews engaged in combat operations in Maryinka. The date and exact location were not disclosed. "The work is being carried out for the benefit of the infantry, so that the fighters can advance through the settlement and dislodge the enemy from the Maryinka fortification without fear of enemy fire from the windows of the upper floors and the pillboxes," The DPR People's Militia stated on its Telegram channel. The military said that the tanks were firing at makeshift shelters inside partially destroyed multi-storey buildings. "Our infantry receives an order and we move out, direct fire, roll back, reload. We have to [go again] - we moved out again," a DPR serviceman said. It was reported during the Russian Defence Ministry's daily briefing on Monday that 'Ukrainian D-30 howitzers have been destroyed near Torskoye, Vodyanoye and Maryinka Donetsk People's Republic'. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry said in a daily evening briefing on Monday that 'in the direction of Bakhmut and Avdeevka, the enemy shelled the areas of more than 30 settlements. In particular, these are Berestoye, Belogorlovka, Soledar, Bakhmut, New York, Avdeevka, Veseloye, Nevelskoye, Maryinka and Novomikhailovka of the Donetsk Region'. On September 30, President Vladimir Putin agreed to sign documents allowing the accession of the Donetsk People's Republic and Lugansk People's Republic, as well as the regions of Kherson and Zaporozhye, to the Russian Federation. According to Moscow, the move followed referenda in which people living in those areas exercised their right to self-determination and requested to join Russia. Ukraine and its international allies condemned the move, calling it an annexation of Kiev’s sovereign territory.
