Gov’t to roll out measles immunization nationwide

The Ministry of Health is set to roll out a nationwide mass immunization exercise against measles and rubella diseases for children aged between 9 months and 14 years. Health Principal Secretary Dr. Nicholas Muraguri says the immunization campaign set to kick off from the 16th to 24th of May is intended to boost the immunity of over 19 million children across the country against the killer diseases. The ministry of health has at the same time reassured the public on the safety of the vaccines. Ben Chumba has the details.
