On November 17, 2022, the Yale Institute for Global Health (YIGH) welcomed Winnie Byanyima, UNAIDS Executive Director to discuss the underlying social factors like gender inequality that exacerbate the HIV and COVID-19 pandemics. Just two weeks before World AIDS Day on December 1st, the event highlighted the imperative for all of us to work for the proven actions needed to address inequalities in the global response to HIV/AIDS and COVID-19.
