Another big quarterback move this offseason was the Dallas Cowboys signing Dak Prescott to a huge contract. In this episode of Study Ball I breakdown Dak’s game tape to show you some of the reasons why he got the big deal and the things that I really like about him. I would say the thing that jumps out to me more than anything is his ability to make what I call “chunk throws”…that second level throw is what really, to me, always separates good and great quarterbacks…the ability to make that 15 to 35 yard throw consistently. Big throws with processing. The ability to read things and read them quickly. You see it over and over again…the ability for Dak to make that second level throw, separates him. We’re seeing him get better and better at some of this processing stuff…with pressure coming, making big plays, attacking the voids.
