Shadow Tower - Final Bosses and Ending

Is it just me or is this ending like, really shitty, since the Demon King Crown corrupts the wearer? Goes to show, Shadow Tower is pretty much a spin off of King's Field, even the story. Though, I feel like while King's Field story/world from KF1-3 is much more vast, the storytelling/narration in Shadow Tower is much better, way more alike todays Soulsborne games. From Software took what they learned from their narration of Armored Core and used this style in Shadow Tower, to much success I'd say.
