Just Eat's International Expansion Timeline

Having launched its web-driven restaurant food delivery service in Denmark in 2000, Just Eat opened up its UK operations in 2006 and since then has expanded the business to over 13 countries including European countries such as Ireland, Denmark, France, Spain, and Italy as well as Canada and India. Just Eat became the first company to join the London Stock Exchange’s newly-minted High Growth Segment when it completed its IPO in April of this year, raising £360m in the process. These days, the company continues to function as an intermediary between consumers and restaurants, where consumers can order food online and have it delivered directly to their homes. In 2020, the total number of active consumers on Just Eat Takeaway.com reached 60 million. As of 2021, the company connected 10s of millions of customers with over 500,000 restaurants and operated in 24 countries. Here’s a timeline of the company’s Global Expansion exploits.
