We continue reading the Psalter with Professor Andrey Desnitsky, translated by the Russian Society of Books. Today we examine Psalm 11: 1 [To the choirmaster: the chant "Ha-sheminit..." A Psalm of David.] 2 Save, O Lord! The righteous are no more! There is no one left among the people to trust! 3 They all lie to one another; their lips are deceitful; they mean not what they say. 4 The Lord will punish their lying lips; He will cut off their boastful tongues. 5 Let them not think, "We are masters of words! Our tongues are our weapons! No one can command us." 6 "The poor are robbed, the needy groan—I will intercede for them," says the Lord, "I will save the humble!" 7 The words of the Lord are pure, like silver refined in the furnace of the earth and purified seven times. 8 O Lord, You Yourself preserve us! You protect us now and forever! 9 But the wicked roam around, and vanity is held in high esteem by men. 📜 Read Psalms, Chapter 11 (with commentary) https://ekzeget.ru/bible/psaltir/glav... ❗ LINK to the playlist: • Playlist ❗ SUBSCRIBE to our Channel to stay up to date with new videos on Biblical topics We're on VKontakte https://vk.com/ekzeget We're on Facebook / ekzeget.ru Our Twitter / ekzegetru We're on Odnoklassniki: https://ok.ru/ekzegetru Our Instagram / ekzeget Our Telegram: https://telega.at/ekzeget We're on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.ru/ekzeget/ Yandex.Zen https://zen.yandex.ru/id/5b683072995e... #exegete #Bible #Orthodoxy #faith #Lord #Gospel #Christ #Jesus #Christianity #God #Bible_answers #interpretation #truth #Desnitsky #psalm #Psalter #hope #mercy #King_David #Saul #murder #prophets
