On July 29th, 2020 the Union Cabinet approved a new national education policy NEP after a 34-year gap. Previously it was known as national policy on education NPE, which was approved 34 years ago in 1986. It got further modified in 1992. ✒ UGC NET :- The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting UGC-NET, which is a Test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ as well as ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian Universities and Colleges. The UGC-NET is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode w.e.f.
