Story: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted that the Israeli military war responsible for carrying out a missile strike on Hezbollah targets in Syria earlier Thursday. Speaking at a memorial ceremony for Zionist intellectual Ze’ev Jabotinsky, Netanyahu reminded audience members that “We’re defending ourselves at all times.” Netanyahu then added: "On the northern front, we’re acting against Iran and Hezbollah, and you’re hearing about that now as well.” Earlier Thursday, Syrian government news agency SANA reported that an Israeli projectile landed in Tel Brika near the suburbs of Quneitra province. The state news agency claimed that the IDF was behind the attack and fired at the position after detecting "Hezbollah activity" in the area. Israel has not commented on the incident. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said regime loyalists are present in the area targeted by Thursday's rocket attack. It did not report any casualties. Israel has launched dozens of strikes against Syria in recent years but has tampered down its activity against Damascus over the past several months. Israeli airstrikes generally target Iranian and Hezbollah positions in Syria, with concerns over Tehran entrenching its military in the war-ravaged country. The IDF has also acted to stop the transfer of military weapons to terrorist organizations positioned in the country.
