This video is produced by the “Improving Workers’ Rights in the Rural Sector in the Indo-Pacific with a Focus on Women” project, which aims to promote and improve labour law compliance, occupational safety and health (OSH) and gender equality in the rural sectors in the Philippines and Indonesia. The aim is to contribute to improving working conditions, especially for female workers. In Indonesia, the project focuses on the palm oil and fish processing sectors. The project is implemented within the ILO Safety + Health for All flagship programme which aims to improve workers’ safety and health worldwide. This intervention is carried out in partnership with the government, worker organizations and employers in Indonesia. Funding is provided by the United States Department of Labor under cooperative agreement number IL‐35632-75-K. 100 per cent of the total costs of the project are financed with federal funds, for a total of 5 million dollars.
