BMW iDrive Red Screen Fix

2011 BMW E90 I was driving today and my idrive's screen turned red for no apparent reason. All the media was still working and I could change songs from my iPhone connected by Bluetooth. Turning the car on and off wasn't working. I looked up the problem on google and found that the CIC might of needed a reboot. To reboot the CIC you need to press and hold the volume knob for about 15 seconds and you see the BMW logo back again. Worked fine for me and I never had the problem happen again.
