This afternoon and evening, there's a SLIGHT risk for severe weather across southwest Nebraska. Scattered storms are expected to develop this evening, with a few potentially reaching strong to severe levels. The timeframe for storm activity is between 5 PM and 10 PM. Rainfall totals through Saturday evening are ranging from a 0.05"-0.30"+. The better chance for rainfall will be out west. Today, cloudy skies will keep our temperatures well below average in the 60s for most of us. This evening, storms develop out in SW Nebraska with the main threats being large hail and gusty winds. Saturday, mostly cloudy skies with some rain and scattered storms in the nighttime hours. Scattered rain and storm chances continue through the end of May. A warm up looks to be moving in next Thursday.
