President Erdoğan: "We will never allow such disgrace and immorality."

According to breaking news, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements at the signing ceremony of the "Ethics Education and Ethics Trainer Training Cooperation Protocol" at the Presidential Complex. President Erdoğan's statements are as follows: As President, I have always supported, and continue to support, the ever-increasing efforts of our Ethics Committee. Turkey, which has undergone the most ambitious administrative change in its history in recent years, has also demonstrated its determination to carry this quality into the future. There may have been some perceived erosion in the public sector, but because the foundation of this state is solid, we have overcome all of these over time. "WE HAVE ENTERED A CRITICAL PERIOD" We have entered a critical period in which we will direct all our attention to the goal of a great and powerful Turkey. Over the past 20 years, our country has made significant progress in the quality of its public services, as in every other area. Of course, it was not easy to correct centuries of neglect and shortcomings in such a short time. Our Ethics Committee will take its place in the vision of a great and powerful Turkey by contributing to the relationship between the nation and the state within a framework of morality and respect. In our country's governance system, becoming a public servant has long been subject to specific tests and processes. Those who fall under the control of terrorist organizations are also being purged by the law. Recently, we have increasingly seen the leader of the main opposition party insulting and even openly threatening public officials. Of course, everyone can be criticized. We, too, have criticized everyone, from governors to inspectors, for actions we deemed unlawful. We criticized the actions and procedures taken. But we also abided by the actions and procedures that emerged, saying that a cut finger under Sharia law doesn't hurt. The method employed by the leader of the main opposition party is not compatible with a democratic state governed by the rule of law. He sometimes openly targets public officials simply because they didn't vote for him. What does it mean to threaten the general manager for signing a petition? What does it mean to raid the doors of public institutions as if they were a raid? Can such a policy exist in a state governed by the rule of law? Never... Anyone who speaks against our public officials outside the bounds of a democratic state governed by the rule of law is an enemy of both this state and this nation. We cannot allow such disgrace. Targeting a president's family and orchestrating such a process is unconscionable. Public officials' only recourse is the constitution and the laws. This state doesn't operate based on the cries of those who recite ghazals from the outside. All public officials can rest assured: Türkiye has not a single moment to lose with such shady operations.
