Demand San Antonio Public Safety — Driver Background Checks

This Week, the San Antonio City Council will vote on a proposal that would undo some very important public safety regulations. This proposal, pushed for by UBER and LYFT, would allow their drivers to operate in our city WITHOUT PROPER FBI BACKGROUND CHECKS. Alonzo Peña, Retired Deputy Director with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says "The last thing we need is for the City Council to vote to allow people to get into cars with drivers who have not been cleared by FBI fingerprint background checks." Cab drivers, on the other had are required by law to have FBI fingerprint-based background checks to ensure public safety. Tell your City Council Member that our public safety is more important than bottom-line cost cutting measures of a multi-billion dollar international company!
