"What if we kidnap Oprah?" Frustrated with their video game and his own "potential," Ed Wuncler III and Rummy hatch a comically absurd plan to kidnap Oprah Winfrey in this scene from The Boondocks Season 1 Episode 11, "Let's Nab Oprah." After Ed smashes a video game console in a fit of rage, a news segment about Oprah's upcoming book signing gives Rummy an idea. He argues that controlling Oprah would grant them "control over women," and, by extension, control over the world's buying habits and beliefs. Riley, ever the impressionable follower, is on board with the plan. Huey, however, tries to inject some sense, pointing out that no one ever tries to stop them. Rummy, with his typical absurd logic, retorts that "the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence." The scene ends with Huey confronting Riley, declaring that he will stop them if they go through with their plan. #TheBoondocks #EdWunclerIII #Rummy #RileyFreeman #HueyFreeman #OprahWinfrey #Kidnapping #AdultSwim #BlackComedy #AaronMcGruder #BoondocksClassic #FunnyMoments #Let'sNabOprah #Satire #Absurdity #CriminalMastermind
