Why The Stock Market Crashed 800 Points Today – The Mysterious Inverted Yield Curve

The stock market was down just over 800 points at one point today and the reason was well beyond the failed trump truce deal. The stock market dropped so much today because this was the first time in over 10 years that the yield curve inverted in some areas and almost fully inverted, with the 2yr10yr almost flat. This may be complex for stock market beginners however the concept is fairly simply and we will go over this in more videos. The scary thing about the yield curve and it inverting is that it has commonly been tied to predicting recessions so that could be a big driver behind some panic today. Beyond that, the yield curve inverted because of the movements in the dollar and in bond markets, which is being fueled by these trade talks. Even worse, the Brexit deal is going south again, and oil briefly started to decline, which is all pointing towards bearish and bad news for the stock market.
