This variation of falafel is made by air frying the beautiful balls/patties made from chickpea, cilantro, parsley, and other condiments. Originated in Egypt, this delicious middle eastern food is best served with Tzatziki Sauce. They are crispy from the outside and soft, fluffy from the inside. INGREDIENTS- 2 Tbsp olive oil 2 cup chickpea (soaked overnight) 1/2 cup/bunch fresh parsley 1/2 cup/bunch fresh cilantro 2 cloves of garlic 1/2 cup onion 1 Tsp paprika 2 Tsp cumin powder 2 Tsp coriander powder 1 Tsp baking soda 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seed 1 Tsp salt 1/2 Tsp black pepper Avocado oil spray INSTRUCTIONS- *Soak the chickpeas in water overnight and drain them the next day. pat them dry with a paper towel. *In your food processor adds the chickpea, parsley, cilantro, coriander, garlic clove, onion, paprika, cumin, baking soda, sesame seeds, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. *Blend them until smooth. *Now spray avocado oil in your air fryer basket. *Use your hands to form falafel the size of a golf ball. Take help of your ice cream scoop for the even size. *Place them on your air fryer basket. *Spray avocado oil on them and bake them for 20 minutes over 350ºf. *Once done let it cool for 5 mins and serve with Tzatziki Sauce. *Enjoy! NOTES- You can also bake them in a baking tray lined with parchment paper for 30 minutes over 350ºf.
