‘Just shocking’: New report reveals 3.7m households ran out of food in 2023

Sky News host Steve Price says the latest Hunger Report from Foodbank Australia is “just shocking”. The report has revealed 3.7 million experienced food insecurity in 2023. More than 50 per cent of households experiencing food insecurity had a member doing paid work. “You think about financial insecurity – that’s bad enough – but when you can’t put food on the table, what sort of country are we living in?” Mr Price said.
