This is the dramatic moment an old man was saved after he was pulled underneath a moving train. Vijay Kumar Patel, 59, tripped as he tried to disembark at Dadar Station in Mumbai, India, and appeared to be dragged underneath the carriage by his clothes. As the train accelerated to leave the platform, Vijay struggled to get up - his head dangerously close to the wheels. Fortunately a railway protection force officer ran over to him and yanked him out and onto the platform, saving his life. The official, Umesh Mali, was joined by other staff and travellers to check over the pensioner, as can be seen in the security footage. Ulhasnagar resident Vijay was traveling from Varanasi to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) when the incident occurred. Central Railway general manager Alok Kansal has announced a reward of 2,000 Indian rupees for Umesh. * This content is being managed by SWNS.
