Week 13 of the NFL is in the books. Defeating the Minnesota Vikings in the last seconds of the 4th quarter with a score of 29-27, Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions earned their first win of the 2021-2022 NFL season. Carson Wentz and the Indianapolis Colts demolished the Houston Texans winning 31-0, and pretty much secured the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles will have a great draft pick next year. The Dallas Cowboys defeated the New Orleans Saints 27-17 and the Los Angeles Rams stomped out the Jacksonville Jaguars 37-7. Who will come out on top when the 8-4 New England Patriots battle the 7-4 Buffalo Bills tonight on Monday Night Football? The Philadelphia Eagles played their second consecutive game at MetLife Stadium yesterday as they routed the New York Jets with a 33-18 victory. The big story from yesterday’s game was the outstanding play of the offense. With Jalen Hurts out this week due to a sprained ankle, Gardner Minshew took command of the team and led them to a 33-18 win over the New York Jets. Minshew threw for 242 yards, (188 in the first half) with an 80 percent completion percentage. Dallas Goedert was also unleashed yesterday as he caught 2 touchdowns and collected 105 receiving yards. The ground attack also continued their hot streak as Miles Sanders ran for 120 yards on 24 carries while Kenny Gainwell added another 54 yards and a touchdown. Don’t rule the playoffs out just yet. Following a devastating loss by the Minnesota Vikings to the Detroit Lions, the Philadelphia Eagles have found themselves back in the hunt for some January NFL action.
