2021 Nissan Kicks // A facelift for a top seller

#nissan Kicks #NewNissanKicks #2021NissanKicks Nissan has been on a roll so far in 2020 with the introduction of the very well-done Sentra and all-new much improved Rogue SUV. Now, Nissan has turned its attention to the entry-level utility called Kick, which has been a hit ever since it was introduced. This latest 2021 Nissan Kicks is a facelifted model that will be available starting in Feb 2021. Let’s start with the updated design. The Kicks gets a new front a rear design and a more angular approach compared to the outgoing model. The V-Motion grille is much bigger, and the Kicks is available with LED headlamps and 17-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the updates include a new rear bumper and shark-fin antenna. To kick off this updated model Nissan has introduced new colours and two-tone options, I like the bright blue. One area Nissan was sorely lacking was connectivity and camera resolution. The good news is that a new head unit is making its way through the lineup and the Kicks now gets the latest. It is a new available 8-inch display audio system with standard Apple Carplay and Android Auto, plus there are 4 USB ports. A 7-inch unit is standard. Below, Nissan has included new dark plastic trim pieces. The door arm rest and centre arm rest have also been updated along with new dash air vents. Another big push from Nissan over the past year or so is the introduction of the standard Shield 360 suit of advanced safety features including emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, rear automatic braking and high beam assist. All standard along with ten air bags. Powering the kicks is a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine with 122hp and 114lb.-ft. of torque and the power goes to the front wheels only through a CVT. In Canada the Kicks is sold as an S, SV, SR and SR with premium package. The sweet spot is the middle SV which adds heated seats and heated steering wheel along with 17-inch alloy wheels and the updated 8-inch head unit. These might seem like modest changes but on an entry-level car that is already selling incredibly well, these updates will make this an easier buy for many people who look at the Kicks as a compact car replacement.
