HALF-LIFE INSPIRED - VERTIGO REMASTERED is STILL a GEM! // Oculus Rift S // RTX 2070 Super

You can get this experience from Steam here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1318090 My initial impressions: I loved the Vertigo 2 demo, so decided to pick this up on Steam about a year ago. As a result the REMASTERED version is FREE and this game is just as good today as it was on release. Vertigo Remastered should be out today. The original game was released in 2016 long before HLA and was developed by just 1 person. (Check your Steam library to see if you have the original game, you might have picked it up in a Steam sale etc, if you do you get the Remastered version for FREE) I recently spoke to the developer on Twitter. He told me that he had spent most of his time at Valve making Moondust and The Lab Hands-On update. He also told me that he had helped out with Half-Life: Alyx here and there. (And this does show in his game, it's got lots of cool Half-Life nods and references. Even the interface is similar. His biggest achievement was spending lots of time working really closely with the SteamVR team, and getting familiar with the nitty gritty details of the tech, and he says "hopefully that will show through in this game." Playing the Remaster yesterday I also got some Boneworks vibes, so if you are looking for something new and interesting to play in VR, give it a look.
