Major System Could Become a Hurricane

A major system is forming and it could become a hurricane this week. High coastal impacts will be felt in The Bahamas, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. A significant flood threat remains in place for The Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and The Virgin Islands. This system will bring damage to the coast, either as a tropical storm or hurricane. Major beach erosion is ongoing, and damage to structures along the coast of Florida and The Bahamas, from the surf, is likely. This is a large system. Every system is different.
