Gram Parsons (The Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers) and Keith Richards (Rolling Stones) hung out in L.A. and France, each drawing from the other. Richards let Gram take "Wild Horses" back to L.A., where it was recorded and released by the Flying Burrito Brothers before the Stones put it on their landmark Sticky Fingers album.
