He opens with the query: Given the countless amount of suffering, what kind of universe (or Cosmos) do we live in that would allow for that? And why? Given that this suffering is a natural consequence of the pathologos: what is the purpose of allowing pathologos? Depending on the answer we get, then what can we conclude? (We all try various answers which are basically variations on the theme that the pathologos (which causes suffering) also allows for learning and spiritual growth, and returning to the Self. But this does not seem to satisfy Pierre, who is asking at a higher level, apparently: why is even THAT necessary?) We do not get a final answer from Pierre, but he seems to have something in mind -- a great puzzle for us all to contemplate.(This subject is continued next week.)After doing Barbara's dream, we return and work on the conditions necessary for maintaining Being.HighlightsWhat are the 9 hypotheses (of Parmenides)? After Barbara's dream, Pierre opened up the discussion again, so that segment picks up again at the jump-cut.
