Choose the selection option. Then choose from the drop-down the grow option. Grow the selection by about 15 pixels; this will depend on how big your text is. step 5: make a new transparency layer step 6: select transparency layer. Then fill the selection over the transparency layer with your choice of color. Fill using the Bucket Fill tool. step 7: go to the top-left selection options menu. Then select none. We want to turn off the selection so that we can apply the blur properly Step 8: right click the transparency layer with the filled color text outline. Go to filters, then go to Gaussian blur. And then apply a Gaussian blur that looks good to you step 9: Your done! Now your text has an outer glow! :D
