Užičko kolo is one of the most famous melodies and choreographies that belong to Serbian folk dances. Užičko kolo was named after the city in western Serbia, Užice. Kolo is generally played at all kinds of family or collective celebrations, and the dancers connected in a line follow the music according to certain steps. While the general public knows the simplified steps that are played every day, professional dancers perform complex choreographies.
