Bodhidharma was born in the Raj family of Kanchipuram in the Pallava state of South India. He was the third son of Raja Sugandha of Kanchipuram. He left the kingdom at a young age and became a beggar. At the age of 22, he attained sambodhi (the first state of salvation). Buddhism expanded into China, Japan, and Korea through Bodhidharma. Going to China in 520-526 AD, he laid the foundation of the Dhyan sect in China called Chien or Zen. Maharishi Agastya developed Dakshin Kalarippayatu (fighting without arms) and Parashurama developed Kalaripayattu with weapons. Lord Krishna was proficient in both types of learning. He developed this learning more thoroughly and gave it a new dimension. It is called kalarippayattu, kalaripayattu or kalaripayattu. It was only through this knowledge that Shri Krishna killed slaves like Chanur and Mushtik when he was 16 years old. In Mathura, the wicked Rajak's head was cut off with a palm stroke. According to public opinion, Sri Krishna developed martial arts in the forests of Braj region. Dandiya Raas is a dance form of the same. Sri Krishna is considered the first teacher of Kalaripayattu discipline. However, after this education was promoted by Agastya Muni. It was because of this knowledge that the 'Narayani Sena' became the most fierce fighting force in India. It was Sri Krishna who laid the foundation of Kalaripattu, which later evolved into modern martial arts, passing through Bodhidarman. This learning flourished in Buddhist nations like China, Japan etc. due to Bodhidharman. Even today this learning is prevalent in Kerala and Karnataka. Sri Krishna had learned this knowledge to his 'Narayani Sena'. Dandiya Raas is a form of this.
