Joe Dumars' Rainbow from Heaven (1990 NBA Finals)

June 10, 1990 - In a pre-arranged decision after Joe Dumars Jr. was forced into intensive care weeks earlier, Detroit Pistons guard Joe Dumars III opted that, in the event of his father's death, he would not be told until a game's conclusion. Unfortunately, Dumars lost his father prior to Game 3, coinciding with his best game of the postseason. Dumars scored 33 points, including a rainbow shot that teammate Isiah Thomas attributed to Dumars' father.
