This is a level 254 NG+ build which is strategically optimized for full potential of Maliketh’s Black Blade. I believe this weapon has the single best AoW attack in Elden Ring. Not only does it have a full 360-degree AoE, it’s more effective than bleed and works on literally every enemy (as far as I can tell). All of the incantations were chosen strategically to heavily buff defense and healing. This build does INSANE damage even without the weapon art, though it was designed to utilize it for maximum effectiveness against Melania. MAIN GEAR: • Maliketh’s Black Blade +10 (907 AR) • Fingerprint Stone Shield +25 (90 Guard Boost) • Clawmark Seal +25 (300 Incant Scaling) • Medium armor ARMOR USED: • Bull-Goat Helm • Robin’s Armor • Ronin’s Gauntlets •Cleanrot Greaves TALISMANS: • Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman • Shard of Alexander • Greatshield Talisan • Great-Jar’s Arsenal INCANTATIONS: • Golden Vow • Protection of the Erdtree • Blessing of the Erdtree • Law of Causality • Dragonbolt Blessing • Black Flame’s Protection • Elden Stars • Black Blade WONDROUS PHYSICK: Stonebarb Cracked Tear + Crimsonwhirl Bubbletear SPIRIT SUMMON: Mimic Tear Ashes +10 STRATEGY / TIPS / ADVICE: Rush Melania as fast as possible when the fight begins. Keep pressure on her and stay close if you can. Only retreat to heal or avoid her attacks. She won’t do Waterfowl unless she has space. Dodge/roll INTO her attacks, especially during first phase. Keep your distance and time your attacks more strategically during the phase two. IMPORTANT: Even with a greatshield that blocks Waterfowl like it doesn’t exist, attempt to dodge roll AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE to avoid her attacks because she heals every time she hits your shield as well. The shield is not a crutch—it’s for support. When phase two begins, IMMEDIATELY run forward as far and fast as possible into her flower bomb attack then block while locked on to her. This is a great time to re-buff with your incantations and/or heal up. Allow your Mimic to distract her and be her Baugh while you attack from behind. Do not stay right next to it because it will force her to focus on you. Again, stay aggressive as possible because she will also heal every time she hits your mimic. Similar to the shield, the mimic is not a crutch, but primarily a distraction so you can attack from behind. Jump attacks when she’s on the ground work fantastic, and if you are able to trap her into the wall and double-team her with your mimic, she will get annihilated. NOTES: • Fought on ER patch 1.06 • The last two (offensive) incantations are not necessary. Feel free to modify them or leave them off completely. • Keeping your flasks in your pouch instead of the quick slots will allow you to heal and replenish FP MUCH faster without losing track of your quick slot items.
