'Robin Hood' cast, creators preview modern adaptation to classic story of outlaw hero

The story of Robin Hood has been adapted into more than a dozen movies and TV shows, including the 1973 Disney animated film, 1993 parody film from Mel Brooks and 2010 film starring Russell Crowe. The latest adaptation is a TV show that brings a modern energy to the classic tale of the roguish outlaw hero who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. "There's many wonderful characters in this story that you'll follow, but there's a real focus on the love between Rob and Marian and their fight for justice, but also fight for their love," said Jack Patten ("NCIS: Sydney"), who stars as the titular character in his first TV role. "I was moving into my now apartment in Sydney with my girlfriend, and we were pushing a mattress up the flights of stairs when I got the call. It's a moment that I won't forget."
