#Data #Diplomacy #ScienceDiplomacy #SciDip #SciencePolicy #SciPol #Webinar Data diplomacy is the use of data to inform, facilitate, or influence diplomacy, but it also encompasses the governance surrounding the creation, use, and sharing of data. As part of NSPN's Data Diplomacy Series, this conversation featured Raul Rikk, Science and Development Director at Milrem Robotics, and Ahmad Mohseni, Development Coordination and Data Management Officer at the United Nations-Ukraine. Together, they discussed the role of e-governance during peace and war times, providing insight into e-Estonia, one of the world’s few operating data embassies, as well as data recovery efforts in post-disaster/post-conflict countries. The discussion also highlighted building sustainable and equitable digital infrastructure within and beyond EU Member States, with a focus on big data and cybersecurity strategies that have been effective in protecting human rights and de-escalating international conflicts. ---- Join the National Science Policy Network (NSPN)!
