Putin Celebrates 1025th Anniversary of Christianity in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived to Kiev, Saturday, to celebrate the 1025th anniversary of Christianity in Russia and Ukraine, calling it Rus Baptism. The president joined the prayer service held by Russian Orthodox leader Patriarch Kirill and Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovych in commemorating the baptism. Later they will all meet Ukraine's top orthodox clerics and visit the Kiev-Pecherskaya Lavra, the country's main cathedral. Putin will also be discussing bilateral co-operation with his Ukrainian counterpart during his visit, elaborating on trade, economic policies and humanitarian causes.
