Labyrinth Zone Act 1 Remix v3 (Sonic Aftershock)

Labyrinth Zone Act 1 Remix v3 (Sonic Aftershock)

The walls of Labyrinth Zone have finally collapsed, revealing a massive cave flooded with water from rain rushing in. These ancient ruins won’t last much longer … What? It was a good description! Idk what to really say about the background and music of this one. It’s not much different from the old remix. I took the beta background and flooded it while adding in bits of broken wall to signify it collapsed. And the music? Well in the original remix there actually was some extra instruments that I had to cut out because they were too loud and got corrupted. Back then I didn’t know why some instruments were corrupting nor how do fix it, but nowadays I definitely know both. So I can add in those instruments I had to cut out all those years ago! God it’s really been that long? I still remember drawing the background in Science Class very clearly, and my memory isn’t very good in the first place. This remix took only about 5 hours to make. FIVE. HOURS. Amusingly, that’s around the time it took me to make the Lost Labyrinth remix. Except that remix was made over 2 days. This remix was straight 5-ish hours of music with about maybe an hour break for dinner. No issues during it, no corrupted or misplaced percussion, no major instruments being overshadowed, 100% flawless!! I am SO proud of myself :D Alright guys! Ramble time! My favourite even tho nobody reads it! :D I have a list of Zones to remix that I try to follow, though when big events happen it often gets thrown off course or I do a special remix for an event. The event this time was actually 4 months ago: Pokémon Legends ZA. As a half PokéTuber, I am legally and morally required to play and beat the game on this channel! However the game is MUCH longer than I thought it would be and came out in late October which was a bad time for me! I was finishing up my Halloween Ghost-Type Challenge when it dropped so I couldn’t tear into it immediately. I uploaded the first part as soon as I could but then got right back to work on that Challenge. Then November hit and I could play it but I knew Gamesmas was right around the corner and I NEEDED to do it this year! So a lot of the time I would normally spend playing ZA, Terraria, or Sonic Unleashed I actually spent pre-recording and editing Gamesmas videos. As such I didn’t have much time for ZA, then December hit and it was a combination of both October and November: A Pokémon Challenge and Gamesmas PLUS High-School Swim Team. I was scrambling, it was fun in a chaotic way. I did not have time to record much of ZA during December, either. BUT NOW… it’s January 2026. No Challenges under a deadline, no major events, Swim Team is more manageable now… it’s time to relax after a chaotic 5-6 months (since I also had a my PVZ2 No Achievements Challenge Part 1), right? NO! I STILL HAVEN’T FINISHED ZA!! ZA is a very dense game especially by Pokémon standards so I have to bust out my new IPad to edit these awkwardly long recording sessions and videos since it actually has the storage to handle them. But editing on my iPad is clunky and I’m used to editing on my phone so these videos take even MORE time to make! I refuse to do any other normal Let’s Play until I’ve beaten ZA, all my time will be dedicated to beating ZA unless I need a filler video… which is finally when Sonic Aftershock gets involved. Originally, the plan was to do a Sonic 3D Blast remix, both Genesis and Saturn. However… 3D Blast tracks are harder to remix due to their complexities and then the Saturn tracks I am not familiar with. If I wasn’t working on spiriting through the rest of the awkwardly long ZA series, this wouldn’t be that big of an issue. But I AM working on spiriting through the rest of the awkwardly long ZA videos! If I truly want to finish this game ASAP, I need to pour all my attention to it… which makes it even more difficult to do 2 complex remixes, one of which I’m not familiar with! So what did I do? I changed up the order of remixes! I looked at my list and skipped forward to the next easiest Remix on the list, and it was Labyrinth Zone! I had already started working on the 3D Blast remix- I’ve already drawn the background for one of them- but I need to do something simple if I don’t wanna break my 7-video rule and have an annoyingly long period of time between remixes. It’s been a long time since my first Labyrinth Zone remix, nearly 3 whole years, but Labyrinth Zone is one of my favourite Zones and favourite songs so I’ve practically already got it down!
