(even though it was on the 9th and it’s the 14th now shut up) To celebrate the occasion, here is the never before heard voiceover of Lego Batman Part 2: Meta Power Crazed Penguin. . So this is basically a series where Bailey explains how a video game works while trying to traverse through the first mission of the game. Or something like that. This week, Bailey once again becomes The Dark Knight, and together with @cyberscouterz as Robin they team up to take down a guy who's half gangster half bird all fowl and his band of mutated animals. . The Full Backstory: In June of 2022 before leaving for a trip to the Mountain Dew Outpost, Max, Bailey, and Cyberscouterz recorded a video on Lego Batman: The Videogame. On July 6th, “The Riddler’s Revenge” was released. It was initially intended to be the start of a brand new arc of videos in Bailey Basically Explains much like the Lego Star Wars The Completely Rewritten Saga arc, and every episode would feature Cyberscouterz as Robin. Later in September of 2022, Bailey and Cyberscouterz would come over to Max’s house and go Downtown, buy a bunch of weird sodas from the local pop shop, try all of the sodas, mix them all together into a mystery liquid, and drink the mystery liquid. That same evening, the three of them would record two different videos on Lego Batman and Monopoly Plus, the latter becoming a three part video released throughout the month of October that year. But where was this second Lego Batman? Well before Max made the switch to OBS Studios, he would record the voiceover on his laptop and the gameplay using a recording box that came with a USB stick where the finished recordings were stored. Unfortunately, Max forgot to clear out the USB stick before recording the Lego Batman video. As a result, only the first level and half of the second level’s gameplay was recorded. Fortunately, the full voiceover was recorded and a lot of its material could’ve been reused if a new game footage was recorded. Double unfortunately, the gameplay was never rerecorded nor was the project ever revisited. The main reason was because of schedule conflicts. There were times in the last few years where the three friends did come together again, however it was to do other activities since their time together was short, precious, and rare. The idea of the Lego Batman arc getting a part 2 became a distant memory. Until now. A few days ago, Max recently decided to listen to the episode's voiceover again. After the first hilarious ten minutes, he decided this shouldn’t be forgotten about. Instead, it should be released for all of the world to hear! So that’s exactly what he did. The project was saved! Well almost. There’s no gameplay or music attached to the voiceover (although you could play the Batman 89 soundtrack or your own music along to this video). Thankfully, Max replayed the story missions on the Steam version of the game to get the cutscenes to align with the voiceover, so at least we have that. The rest of the voiceover is a “use your imagination” thing no matter how dirty some of what is said comes across. Even though the video is considered incomplete to some, it could be useful to others as background noise or something to help you fall asleep (if you like listening to Batman yelling at Robin).
