Your 11 p.m. Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Oct. 14, 2023: Tomorrow is a fantastic day for plans inside! Why? Well, it's not only going to be rainy for a large part of the day... but the winds really pick up as the day progresses. We get a pretty strong NE wind to settle in through the late afternoon and evening which sets up issues for our lakeshore folks and the waterways. We not only have a small craft advisory posted, but we also have a gale watch. If you're familiar with marine chatter, you know this means conditions on the water won't be fantastic in the slightest. That NE breeze on Lake Erie itself could gust up to 40mph...which means wave heights will be near 10ft at times during late Saturday and western basin lakeshore counties will be prone to flooding. The flooding just noted isn't because of so much rain...but because of water levels. Sunday, things switch around... the area low pushes eastward and our wind direction shift becomes evident. That's where the lake comes in for continuous lake effect rain chances. These aren't only for the day Sunday but also Monday and Tuesday for some. Temperatures will be about 10 degrees below the seasonal average come Sunday too. We'll be in the mid-50s. Payton Domschke has more of your forecast: https://www.wkyc.com/article/weather/...
