『いのちの歌』Inochi no uta（A Song of Life）Covered by 首藤 ひろえ Hiroe Shudo

This song was created in the setting of NHK's TV series “Dadan” in the second half of 2008, an original song created by the music unit of the main character played by Mana and Kana Mikura. The lyrics “miyabi” were written by Mariya Takeuchi, who sang the theme song and narrated the narration for this drama, but this was not revealed until after filming was completed. Later in January 2012, Mariya Takeuchi released the song as a single as a self-cover. This song is often sung at graduation ceremonies to express gratitude to the parents who gave birth and raised her. For me, this song is one that I have been singing since I started my career as a piano player, and singing it reminds me of the time when I was (and still am) struggling to get things done the way I wanted.
